Leon (affectionately known as the “Mighty Coconut”) is everyone’s friend. And if he isn’t yours yet, it’s only because you haven't met him.
This boy boasts an incredible temperament, correct harsh coat texture, and beautiful masculine expression.
He has been recognized consistently in specialty competition, garnering a BISS show win, and multiple Select and AOM placements at specialties across the country. In 2024 he was in the NOHS Top 10, and Select Dog at the AKC Royal Canin National Championship. He is always owner handled!

Masakado Absinthe Makes The Heart Grow Fonder - “Satine”
Satine (Marko x Tori) is named for Nicole Kidman’s scintillating Moulin Rouge redhead, and it’s easy to see why! A natural showgirl just like her namesake, Satine has achieved both majors in the deep competition of the Pacific Northwest, and will return to the ring after raising a litter. We love her strong, feminine expression, moderation, and exceptional temperament. Satine has completed all of her OFAs.
“Téa” AKC Champion Masakado Téa Leoni
Tea is a Leon x Tori daughter. She finished her championship very quickly, gaining most of her points from the puppy classes. She has her dad’s fun-loving temperament with a dash of her mother’s sass!
Conformationally, we love her feminine expression and light, elastic movement.
She has passed all of her OFAs with flying colors. We look forward to her continued maturity.

Ringo is the patriarch here at Tenshaku. This stately older gentleman was major pointed with breed wins from the classes, before he decided to set his sights on different goals…like world domination.
He continues to run up to 3 miles a day, train in Barn Hunt, and actively judge people he deems as lesser beings (almost everyone).
He’s one of a handful of Shibas with a weight pull title, which he trained for and earned as a senior dog.

Archer (Marko X Hailey) is our try-anything, do-anything sport guy! From FastCAT (#7 ranked in 2021), to Trick Dog, to Barn Hunt and beyond, this boy is game to try anything with his signature good nature and charm. A wonderful breed ambassador, we look forward to participating in even more sport events, proving that “Shibas Can Too!”

Tang is the resident Hokkaido Ken. She was born to one of the first few Hokkaido litters in the US, and we are delighted with her. She boasts great good looks, incredible athleticism, and a wicked sense of humor. She can generally be found parkouring off of her human family members, and is an excellent ambassador for the breed.
